Galaxy Note 7 News: Samsung Company Confirms Release Date On August 2
Samsung has finally confirmed the release date for its Galaxy Note 7. Instead of September as initially rumored, it's going to be on Aug. 2 which should be good news for fans of the tablet.
That means the launch would skip the IFA conference in Berlin in September, which was usually the event where the Note was unveiled in previous years.
According to Digital Spy, Samsung was already sending invites to the press for the event on Aug. 2. The invitation art itself was quite revealing as it shows some stylus pens plus the number 7.out.
As to the specs, the Galaxy Note 7 will coe with a 5.7-inch QHD display with Super AMOLED panel. The report from Android Authority alleged that the processor will be either a Samsung Exynos 8893 SoC or Qualcomm Snapdragon, or maybe a combination of both.
The Galaxy Note 7 will also reportedly have a 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB, but that can be expanded through a microSD slot. The RAM will also allegedly be 6 GB. Some reports claimed that aside from the fingerprint scanner, Samsung will be introducing an iris scanner in the new device.
On the other hand, the camera on the front seems to be a basic 5 MP snapper while the back will feature 12 MP.
Meanwhile, UK won't miss out on the release date for the Galaxy Note 7 after Samsung failed to bring to its shores the Note 5 last year. In fact, to make up for that fact, the unveiling will take place in London this August.
