Galaxy Note 5 vs iPhone 6s News: Specs, Rumors and Release Date
Recently The Wall Street Journal reported that Samsung Electronics Company Limited will be moving up the launch of its Galaxy Note 5 to the middle of August in order to beat Apple to market.
Apple is planning to introduce its two newest iPhones, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus sometime in September.
The iPhone 6s Plus is a phablet, which will directly compete with the Galaxy Note 5. There have been few details shared about either of these devices, but in recent months there has been a lot of speculation about what consumers may be able to expect.
In terms of display, the iPhone 6s Plus is expected to have the same 5.5 inch, 1920x1080 Retina HD display ,which the current iPhone 6 Plus has, however it will have one new feature, which is Force Touch.
The Force Touch feature was first introduced on the Apple Watch, and rumors suggest that the S iPhone models will be including Force Touch.
The Galaxy Note 5 may have a larger screen, which will measure at 5.7 inches total, and can feature a 2K or 4K AMOLED display with QHD resolution.
As far as processors go, the iPhone 6s Plus is expected to Apple's new A9 chip with 2 GB of RAM, which is an upgrade from the standard 1 GB of RAM in current Apple phones.
To compare, The Galaxy Note 5 may have an Exynos 7422 chip, which is a combination of 64 bit octa core processor, GPU, storage, 3 GB of RAM and an LTE modem.
Both Apple and Samsung are expected to release these products sometime in September, though rumors suggest that the Galaxy will be released in mid August.
