The Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been sweeping Samsung devices this past year, and news of its arrival on the Galaxy Note 3 Neo has made consumers very excited.

"The Neo, introduced a year ago in March 2014, is essentially a slightly smaller, somewhat less powerful version of the Galaxy Note 3. It sports a 5.5-inch display size, an 8 megapixel camera and comes with Samsung's exclusive innovative S pen stylus," Tech Times.

It's expected to receive the update sometime in the second quarter of 2015, meaning it can arrive anytime in the next couple months.

The late arrival is to be expected as Samsung usually expedites its updates for its more popular devices. Phones such as the Galaxy S5 Sport, Galaxy S5 Mini and Galaxy Alpha haven't yet received the Android 5.0 Lollipop Update.

"With the Android 5.0.1 update to the Galaxy Note 3 Neo now announced, owners of other non-flagship Samsung devices are hoping their handset will receive an update soon as well," writes Tech Times.
