FX Summer TV Schedule 2015: Series Premieres Include Louis C.K. Comedy Special & ‘Tyrant’ Season 2

FX has set its premiere dates for new shows that will be coming to the network, and returning as well, this summer. The lineup includes a stand up comedy special by Louis C.K. and the second season of 'Tyrant'.

According to Variety "The comedian's latest special. 'Louis C.K.: Live From the Comedy Store' will air May 29 at 11 pm, immediately following the season five finale of 'Louie'."

The special is written and directed by C.K. and is produced by his production company, Pig Newton.

The special was recorded at the World Famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles. He is also an executive producer of the show, along with M. Blair Breard.

This is C. K.'s second stand up special to air on FX network.

The president of program strategy and COO of FX Networks, Chuck Saftler, also announced on Wednesday that the second season of "Tyrant" will premiere on June 16th at 10 pm.

The show is a political drama, which stars Adam Rayner, and follows an American family that has been drawn into the inner workings of a Middle Eastern nation in political uproar.

In addition, "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll", from Denis Leary makes its debut on the network on July 16th at 10 pm. The comedy is about Johnny Rock, the former lead singers of a '90s band which broke up on the brink of fame.

Rock, played by Leary, is struggling to find his way back to success in the music industry after 25 years. The show is created by Leary, who also stars in it and is an executive producer. John Corbett and Elizabeth Gillies also star in the show.
