Anderson Silva Next Fight News, Rumors: The Spider's Win Over Nick Diaz will be his Last?

MMA legend, and arguably the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, Anderson "The Spider" Silva came back after a 13-month layoff to get a unanimous decision victory over Nick Diaz in UFC 183 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

And now everyone is wondering if that's the last time he'll be seen inside the octagon.

"I go back to my family now," Silva told Joe Rogan right after the five-round fight when asked about his fighting future.

"My kids, Kalyl says that, "No more, please stop dad.' And I go back to my home and take my kids. And I don't know, maybe I'm back. I don't know," Silva vaguely said after breaking down in tears after the judges' scores were announced.

Silva, 39, was in his first fight since suffering a dual fracture to his left leg against UFC Middleweight champion Chris Weidman in December of 2013. It was 13 months since one of the more gruesome injuries in sports, and unbelievably enough, 840 days since his last win in the UFC.

"I need to talk to my family. I love my job. This is me. I love to fight, but I need to talk to my family because this is more important in my life now," the former UFC Middleweight champion said when asked if the win over Diaz was his last.

Weidman thinks it should be, as reported by MMAFighting:

"Being the champion, I know this ends up going further than I'd even want my comments to go. But me, as a fan, if I'm just a normal person, I want to see him done," Weidman said during Monday's edition of 'The MMA Hour'.

"As Chris Weidman, as me, it's a big money fight, a third fight eventually. But I'd really just like to see him retire. I think he's got a great family, he's got five kids, he's made a lot of money, he has a great legacy. He just won a fight. I wouldn't mind seeing him retire on a "W'," the champion added.

According to MMA Junkie, Silva made $800,000 for his efforts in UFC 183, which includes the $200,000 win bonus.
