Latino Review's El Mayimbe comes to us with a brand new rumor considering a past character returning to the 'Fast and Furious' franchise in the next movie.

Actress Eva Mendes is believed to be making an appearance in 'Fast and Furious 8', making it her first official appearance in the series since '2 Fast 2 Furious.'

In an Instagram post, El Mayimbe posts:

"FAST & FURIOUS 8 #RUMOR With #fast7 now in the record books, the upcoming NY based #Fast8 story will depend on whether they can bring back Eva Mendes' character: US Customs Agent Monica Fuentes."

Her addition would possibly help fill the gap of Paul Walker's character who was sent off at the end of 'Furious 7.'

"Vin Diesel recently teased that The Fast and the Furious 8 will be set in New York and its story will involve Kurt Russell's Furious 7 black ops guru Mr. Nobody," writes IGN.

However, there is no release date set for 'Furious 8' as of yet.
