'Fuller House' New Cast News: Bob Saget Confirmed to Reprise Role as Danny Tanner

The last piece to Netflix's fantastical reunion has recently been announced. It has been confirmed that Bob Saget will in fact be back for 'Fuller House' to reprise his role as Danny Tanner.

The news comes from a late night from John Stamos stating:

"Last but not least-best piece of casting yet. The great ?@bobsaget will be joining our show on ?@netfilx - this completes the perfect reunion!"

It isn't known if Saget will appear as a cameo or a reoccurring character.

"It had been previously reported that Coulier and Saget would have guest roles on the show, but as those reports came before either was officially on board, it's hard to say how much they will be involved. The information we have certainly implies the focus will be Sweetin, Barber, and Cameron-Bure, but whether grandpa Danny Tanner will show up in only a couple episodes or be "DJ's dad who won't go away" remains to be seen," writes Cinema Blend.

Actress Lori Loughlin has recently also confirmed her return to the spin-off series, making the only character missing in the project to be Michelle Tanner, played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. The two twins have already publicly declined their involvement.

The reboot series is set to focus on DJ Tanner's life as a single mom living in the house she grew up in as a child.

"Saget seems to be warming up for his return to family comedy. The stand-up comedian, who can be quite adult when he wants to be, recently showed up on America's Funniest Home Videos, which he hosted mostly concurrently while starring in Full House's original run," writes Cinema Blend.

'Fuller House' is set to premiere in January 2016.
