'Fruit Ninja' VR News: Cut-And-Slash Game Coming To HTC Vive?

One of the most popular mobile games is coming to HTC VIVE , and early reviewers suggested "Fruit Ninja" VR might just be worth the $800 people are going to blow to buy the gadget.

The virtual reality world allows the user to wield two katanas and slice the apples, watermelons, bananas and oranges in front of him.

It's easy to see the anticipation for the "Fruit Ninja" VR. Since its release by Halfbrick Studios in April 2010, it quickly became one of the most popular downloads from the mobile app store. in just three months, it hit 1 million downloads.

Shainiel Deo told The Guardian last year that "Fruit Ninja" was launched at a perfect time when people were just discovering the touch intuitive application for gaming.

It quickly rose to the Australian gaming download charts and, "Apple saw that and picked it up and showcased that to other countries, and then it just all exploded from there," he said.

However, End Gadget reported the bad news that the game isn't fully finished yet, but those who couldn't get their hands on "Fruit Ninja" VR may download it on steam for a 20% discount.

Meanwhile, more reports alleged that Halfbrick is rushing to finish the tweaks and fix the glitches, as well as adding more locations, more weapons and a possible multiplayer mode that will pit one player against the other.

Another good news for Oculus Rift owners or potential buyers is that the "Fruit Ninja" VR will also be coming to the device soon.
