‘Frozen Fever’ Trailer, Release Date News: Disney Sets New Short Film Premiere for March 13 [VIDEO]

Disney has finally released the trailer of the seven minute short film 'Frozen Fever,' which will premiere alongside the new 'Cinderella' movie on March 13. It is a sequel to the 2013 Academy Award-winning animation film 'Frozen'.

Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, the story of 'Frozen Fever' is a short movie showing Elsa and Kristoff are preparing a perfect birthday celebration for Anna. However, Elsa gets a cold, which causes her powers to "wreak a little havoc" and it may pose a threat to the spring festivities.

According to IB Times, fans of 'Frozen' will have to be content with the short film for some time before they can expect a sequel to the hugely hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film.

'Frozen Fever' presents a new song as well as a new adventure with sisters Anna and Elsa. Kristen Bell lends her voice for Anna, Princess of Arendelle and Elsa's younger sister, while Idina Menzel returns as the voice for Elsa, who is Queen of Arendelle and Anna's elder sister. Voice actors Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff also return to reprise their characters, Olaf (a snowman who dreams of experiencing summer) and Kristoff (an iceman accompanied by a reindeer called Sven) respectively.

The movie also brings back the talented songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

'Frozen' is scheduled to hit the theaters with the new 'Cinderella' movie, which is directed by Kenneth Branagh. The live-action reboot of the Disney Classic stars Hayley Atwell, Helena Bonham Carter and Cate Blanchette.

In December 2014, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee said in an interview, "There is something magic about these characters and this cast and this music. Hopefully, the audiences will enjoy the short we're doing, but we felt it again. It was really fun."
