Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee's upcoming animated Disney film "Frozen 2" is set to raise an ongoing issue that relates to the society.

In his interview with MTV, Buck teased that "Frozen 2" would work on a current social issue, which he viewed as something that needed exploitation. The "Frozen" director also added that he had been overwhelmed with the positive feedback "Frozen" had received from the audiences and the critics that it had taken a while to get back.

For Buck, filmmaking gave one a chance to send a message to the audience, as well as the opportunity to change them and set change in society. The filmmaker remained tight-lipped with regard to other details of the upcoming sequel, so he would not spoil fans more than what has been revealed earlier.

According to Youthhealthmag, Buck overseeing the filmmaking is a highly important element to consider when spreading social message to people. Through the creation of films, it is suggested that people, especially the young ones, will be able to remember the message imbued in the film as they watch it.

For the directors, making their audience laugh, cry, learn, and relate with the film to educate them is important in filmmaking. With "Frozen" telling the audience a story about Arandelle's Queen Elsa and Anna, the directors wanted to retell another story that continues the sisters' journey.

"Frozen 2" is set as the sequel to Buck and Lee's Disney film "Frozen," which followed the newly crowned Queen Elsa and her sister Anna. Elsa accidentally used her icy powers, which led to set herself apart from the people. To help her sister, Anna teamed up with a lad named Kristoff and snowman Olaf.

Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad are set to reprise their roles as the voices of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf, respectively. Exact details on the plot, characters, and cast are yet to be revealed.

Buck and Lee's "Frozen 2" is slated to premiere in theaters in 2018.
