Fred Hammond Knee Surgery Update: Gospel Singer Beginning New Album Just Months After Procedure, 'More in Love With My Savior Then Ever’ (VIDEO)
A month after popular Gospel singer Fred Hammond underwent surgery to replace both of his knees he announces that he is getting back into the studio.
After 7 weeks of physical therapy the 53-year-old singer states he is off of his walker and now in crutches ready to make some music. The gospel crooner took to Facebook to publicize the news.
"Starting my next worship CD... Ohhhhh yeah... More in love with savior then ever!!!" he posted.
Throughout the entire ordeal Hammond's supporters were constantly updated on his progress. While his body recovered from the surgery fans flooded his page with prayers and love.
Hammond's fans could not be more excited with the news of new music.
"I sooo can't wait to add it to my Fred Hammond collection. Your music taught me how... Luv Praise & Worship!!,"one fan wrote. Another adding, "Love ya Fred Hammond your music has touched my soul in more ways than you could imagine. Please keep making true worship music!"
While Hammond was recovering, ministry never stopped for the worshipper he used his social media to encourage others of the goodness of God.
He shared the remarkable testimony of his surgery miracle and hoped that it would inspire his 700,000 plus followers. In one post after the surgery he described the time he received a call at 2:00 am from two young men that never thought he would answer.
They were just big fans and were hoping to hear his voice on the answering machine. He answered the phone and began to chat with them. "We chatted for a few more minutes and I reminded them to keep the Lord first and continue to get good grades" he wrote. He then said they were very polite and grateful and hung up.
His post ended with the remarkable testimony of how one phone call that he answered politely in the middle of the night years ago would be instrumental in the favor that he received during this his knee surgery.
Around 22 years later he happened to cross paths with those two young boys, from way back then and when they saw him limping they inquired about it. They then told him they would help him because they remember his kindness towards them years ago.
Hammond went on to testify that because he was polite at a time he could have been rude he was shown favor. Those boys helped Hammond get his surgery financially and physically. One of them was a leading orthopedic specialist in Texas.
