'Prison Break' Revival Rumors: Fox Network to Bring Back Show as Limited Series?
Last year, Fox brought back Jack Bauer to his many friends for a special, 12 episode season of 24. This venture proved to be fairly successful, and has been followed by the network deciding to revive yet another show that has long been off the air, X-Files.
The revival of X-Files is due to premiere by January 2016.
With this in mind, it is probably not surprising at all that Fox is looking to resurrect yet another action series that is a ten years old for a special run.
According to reports from TV Line, Prison Break, a once popular series that focuses on a group of prisoners who have managed to escape, may be making its return to the network as a limited series.
The series would feature the original stars, Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. On a side note, Miller and Purcell recently reunited on The CW's The Flash.
Earlier this year, Miller told E! News that he had given thought to a Prison Break continuation and shared this with Fox, who thought that something may be there.
Later, Gary Newman, the co-chairman of Fox said that it could happen.
This makes fans of Fox television series that were canceled back in the 90s or early 2000s wonder whether they will soon get to see their old favorites back on the small screen.
Maybe House, if Hugh Laurie can be convinced to revisit his beloved character. Possibly Dark Angel, if Jessica Alba is interested in taking a break from movies.
Even Fastlane, a series that was short lived, but loved by a group of fans.
