Fox Summer TV Schedule News: Fox Network Renews 'Bones' for Season 11

The decision has finally been made and confirmed! Bones, the popular Fox television show will be coming back to television for an 11th season.

Fans were holding their breaths, as they waited to see whether 20th Century Fox TV would move to close new deals with Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, the stars of the show.

Deschanel and Boreanaz' contracts ran up at the end of this season.

While the lead actor and actress of the show will remain, there will be some changes behind the scenes.

Executive producer Johnathan Collier and the co executive producer Michael Peterson have decided on new showrunners for the show.

The last showrunner, Stephen Nathan has decided to take a temporary leave from the show.

Collier and Peterson have been producing the show since 2011, and they will be doing so with the creator of the show, Hart Hanson, as well as Barry Josephson, Nathan and Randy Zisk.

They will be producing for 20th Century Fox Television, Far field Productions and Josephson Entertainment.

Bones is one of several Fox series that will be renewed for another season. These include Empire, Gotham and Sleepy Hollow.

There has been no decision made as yet on The Following, but it has been confirmed that Blackstrom has been cancelled.

There will be several new series coming to Fox for the 2015- 2016 season as well. These will include new drama series, such as Rosewood, which has already been picked up.

Also coming to Fox in the fall may be Minority Report, Frankenstein and Lucifer. Studio City may be left for consideration in a future season, as well as X-Files.
