‘For Honor' Beta, Trailer: Closed Test Kicks Off January 2017
The closed beta of "For Honor" will start next month, as Ubisoft announced along with the trailer launch, but you need to have a UPlay account in order to sign up for the program.
In time for the "For Honor" beta, the studio will also introduce War of the Factions. This will ensure that whatever achievements you get from the closed beta from PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One will carry over to the game. There will also reportedly be a reward for the winning faction although there's no detail yet.
The trailer shows Peacekeeper, Warlord and Shugoki classes, along with some details on the single-player campaign, which should show some of the themes of the game.
The game can be played via single player or two player co-op. You can choose your factions, either for the Vikings, Samurai or Knights. Each of the faction has the potential to take over the world. In "For Honor" trailer, you get more details about the three factions.
"Embodying the greatest warriors of each faction, players experience some of the defining moments that led to the war. Dealing with manipulation, betrayal, and catastrophic reversal, they will need wits and skills to ensure victory," Ubisoft said.
"Storming castles and fortresses, turning the tide of key battles, and defeating deadly bosses in intense duels, players will incarnate as battle-hardened heroes who will shape the course of a violent history," it added.
The game will launch on Feb. 14, 2017. The closed beta will probably be the last before t public test begins. Watch the "For Honor" trailer below.
