Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao Fight News: Mayweather Sr. Slams Conditioning Coach Alex Ariza

Calling Floyd Mayweather Sr. outspoken may only considered somewhat of an exaggeration when compared to his son Floyd Jr., but in a surprising twist to the lead up to what is expected to be the richest fight in boxing, Mayweather Sr. focused some very pointed words towards his son's strength and conditioning coach for the May 2 fight, Alex Ariza.

"That son of a [expletive] ain't strengthening nobody. He ain't nobody. He's in there, I can't say exactly what he's doing, but he ain't strength training little Floyd. What Floyd's doing, everybody's helping, it's not just one person," said Mayweather Sr. about Ariza who was hired following Mayweather Jr.'s fight with Marcos Maidana.

"He don't know [expletive] anyways. He don't know anything about no damn boxing, I know that. I know he doesn't know anything boxing and he don't know what to tell anyone anyways. If he does know anything, it's some dirty [expletive] and it's something that nobody wants to use or hear about. Nobody is into that kind of mess," Jr.'s trainer added.

Ariza was credited by many around the boxing circles as being a crucial part of helping Manny Pacquiao knockout bigger men during his dominating run in 2008-2009 wherein he collected impressive victories against Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto.

The Pacquiao-Ariza partnership ended after the Filipino's knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012. Freddie Roach has also been not shy about his contempt for Ariza saying it's just a matter of time before he tries to do everyone else's job.

"My son, somewhere in there everyday he ends up getting the best of everything. Today, he whooped some other guy like he does everyday. It's just what it is. A lot of them take whooping sometimes they stop it. Floyd does different things; sometimes he goes to the body and stops guys and sometimes he throws to the head. Sometimes the guy will stop it. He's just ready, that's all I'm trying to say," Mayweather Sr. added.
