'Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location' News, Rumors: Game Not Canceled, Gets October 7 Release Date?

New details on the release date of Scott Games' "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" have surfaced and as per reports, it is set to be in October.

"Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" is poised to come out on Oct. 7, as per Scott Games' official webpage. Along the date is a clown mask, which leads some players to speculate that the said release date is not yet final.

The said release date is at par with the one posted on Steam. The publication displays Oct. 7 as the release date and Oct. 8 as the date of the game's availability, along with a description that says the game will unlock in about five weeks.

Previously, "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" was rumored as canceled, which was due to leaks. However, the speculation was debunked, since Scott Games is known as an "Internet troll," along with being a developer, according to Mobile N Apps. As per the publication, if the game had been truly canceled, the game would have been removed from Steam's website.

According to Parent Herald, the game is set in a different restaurant, which is believed to be linked with the previous one. As per the publication, this makes sense, as it justifies the "Sister Location" in the game's title.

The players are set to assume the role of a technician in the upcoming game, which partly deviates from the security guard role in the past games. As a late night technician, the character must enjoy "cramped spaces" and be comfortable around active machinery, as per Steam.

Overall, "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" is expected to come out on Oct. 7.
