‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 3’ Release Date News, Rumors: Third Game Confirmed

It has been confirmed by game developer Scott Cawthon that a third game to the 'Five Nights at Freddy's' video game series is currently being developed.

The confirmation came via an automated email response from Cawthorn sent to those who reached out the game developer.

"Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is in production!" the email read. It also stated "Please do not email me asking any questions about it; NO questions about FNaF3 will be read or answered!"

The confirmation came following a teaser that previously appeared on Cawthorn's official website which featured Fazbear, the owner of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and the phrase "I'm still here."

Cawthorn's decision not to entertain questions follows his worries as some people have been posing as him as online sites such as Twitch, Twitter and more. He previously asked fans to trust only statements from his official website or the Steam pages for the two previous games, according to IGN.

He also called out those creating fan games and even labeling them falsely as the third or fourth games of the series. He also stated that he was not permitting any mobile versions of the game.

The developer also faced criticism for the sequel game released in November, only three months after the first game was released. Some claimed it was a simple cash and grab game, while some didn't mind purchasing both. Should production proceed as planned with the third game, there is a chance it will come out by next month, says Euro Gamer.

'Five Nights at Freddy's' is an indie survival horror video game where gamers play a security guard trying to survive five nights alone at the pizzeria and forced to faced mechanical animal characters that have turned murderous. The gamer directs the guard using limited point-and-click movement options and quick reflexes.
