‘Final Fantasy XV’ Release Date News: Square Enix to Announce Game’s Release in March 2016 [VIDEO]
Square Enix has confirmed that the highly-anticipated action role playing video game, 'Final Fantasy XV,' will get a special even in March 2016, when the developer will also announce the release date of the title. The announcement was made at this year's PAX Prime, where the developer also revealed further gameplay videos. Apart from confirming a 2016 release date for the game, Square Enix did not disclose much.
Quoting a report in IGN, IB Times states that Square Enix is waiting till March to announce the release date simply because the company is not ready to announce it yet. Apparently, the company is waiting till March with the intention that the release date can be more precise and also to ensure that the game will not be a victim to any further delays in the near future.
While absence of any precise detail can be regarded as disappointing, apparently the wait for the title will be worth it. Meanwhile, Game Informer has articulated excitement after viewing some of the latest videos of the game from PAX Prime 2015 and believes that the title more exciting compared to recent offerings from the series.
Fans of the RPG video game series are aware that originally 'Final Fantasy XV' was planned to be a spin-off title for 'Final Fantasy XIII.' Moreover, the original name of the game was supposed to be 'Final Fantasy Versus XIII' and it was believed to be rolled out for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, following the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the game was renamed as 'Final Fantasy XV.'
It now seems that the game is setting its own path and deviating from previous games, since it concentrates on an all-male group of characters and vehicles. Besides, the title will also have an action-oriented combat system, discarding the turn-based systems of previous games in the 'Final Fantasy' series. It will offer an experience similar to that of the fighting in 'Kingdom Hearts.'
It appears that the ensuing few years will be very exciting for Square Enix as well as 'Final Fantasy' fans. Aside from 'Final Fantasy XV,' fans can also look forward to 'World of Final Fantasy' and the 'Final Fantasy VII' remake. 'Final Fantasy XV' will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
