‘Final Fantasy VII’ Update: Mobile Version of Game to be Available on iOS Devices Soon [VIDEO]
Soon, people owing iOS devices will be able to download the mobile version of the legendary Japanese role playing game, 'Final Fantasy VII', from the iTunes App Store. In fact, the game's mobile version will be a port of the PC version, which is being claimed as the best-looking adaptation of the RPG so far. Currently, the game is available on the New Zealand App Store and will be released worldwide this week.
According to IB Times, in spite of being an older RPG, there are a few requirements for 'Final Fantasy VII.' Eurogamer reports that in order to play the game, mobile users will require an iPhone 5s, a third generation iPad or an iPad Mini 2. If the game is played on an older iOS device, it will supposedly run on very slow speed. Moreover, the app requires 4 GB of free space and will take up a lot of space in the device.
Kotaku reports that other than the option of removing random battles, the mobile version of 'Final Fantasy VII' does not come with any major changes from the game's PC version. Nevertheless, removing random battles is certainly is an interesting option, although it may possibly make leveling up difficult if there are no arbitrary enemies to train against. While the players can turn off random battles, they cannot avod major battles, since they form a major part of the game's story.
In addition, the game comes with multiple control options. Mobile users are able to use a virtual analogue for the game's controls as well as a fixed four-way digital control pad. However, what remains unconfirmed so far is if 'Final Fantasy VII' will have any sort of gamepad support.
Recently it was also confirmed that the mobile version of 'Final Fantasy VII' would also be available for the PlayStation 4, possibly in the form of a digital download. While this game will also be an improved version of the PC game, it is not certain whether it will also offer the fans the option turning off random battles.
This improved version of 'Final Fantasy VII' should provide the fans with something to play with till the remake of the game arrives on PlayStation 4 and other unconfirmed consoles. The 'Final Fantasy VII' remake was revealed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles earlier this year.
