New details on the release date of Square Enix's "Final Fantasy VII" remake have surfaced; however, fans might not see the title this year.

"Final Fantasy VII" remake for the PlayStation 4 is instead set to be out in the final quarter of 2017, according to Reddit user MajorBlaze1. As per the Redditor, the game's Xbox version is bound to come out in the first few months of 2018.

The rumors sprang up from an alleged e-mail from Amazon, confirming the estimated release date for the title. As per the said e-mail, the title is expected to come to the PlayStation 4 on Dec. 29, 2017. It is further revealed that the pre-order notice from the retailer unveiled a December release. According to the publication, the minor characters are not set to return in the remake. Furthermore, it is assumed that the title is set to showcase enhanced visuals, which will be evident in in-game combat styles.
