'Final Fantasy VII' HD Remake News: New Trailer Released at E3 2015 [VIDEO]
Playstation 4 console owners and simply gamers everywhere are in jubilation from the recent E3 news confirming the impending release of the highly sought out 'Final Fantasy 7' sequel.
The original game, released in 1997, is still considered by many one of the best games all time, and with the video game industry currently banking off of remakes, sequels, and spin-offs, 'Final Fantasy 7' was high on the list for many.
"Final Fantasy VII is, to some, the greatest game ever made. It was one of the original PlayStation's best-selling games, and helped introduce Japanese RPGs to a new generation of gamers. Not only that, but it was a fantastic game that told a story of redemption, global disaster and giant swords," writes Tech Times.
The HD remake has been announced to debut on the Playstation 4, however a release date hasn't yet been disclosed. It's been rumored to appear on other consoles at a later time.
The short teaser trailer that came during the press conference is what seemed to do it for all the spectators. A couple glances at the remade Midgar city took up the majority of the footage, but fans all clamored toward the end when some back shots of both characters Barrett and Cloud were featured.
In an interview with Eurogamer last year, 'Final Fantasy 7' director Yoshinori Kitase discussed the hurdles he had to overcome to make a remake.
"Even if I casually say I would like to do that, because it would be a huge project I would have to motivate myself to the level that I really am prepared to take on this huge responsibility," Kitase said last February. "I don't know if those three things will happen simultaneously. It has to tick lots of very big boxes. I won't rule out the possibility, but it would take a lot to make it happen.
"But should I ever take it on, it would have to be the biggest project I've done. My life work. So I would have to be as highly motivated as that to end up with something I'm very happy with. It's a huge thing for me."
It's safe to say fans are also very happy that he rose to the occasion.
