'Final Fantasy 7' Remake Release Date Rumors Update: Remake Goes More Into Action-Focused Gameplay

When Square Enix announced last year about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake, fans heaved a collective sigh of relief. Finally, one of the best games, which spawned multitudes of RPG games, will have a remastered version.

However, the "Final Fantasy 7" remake and the "Kingdom Hearts 3" were not included in the list of games that are expected to be released between now and the end of the fiscal year, which is going to be in March 2017, as announced by Square Enix last year.

There's the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 version, or the "Dues Ex: Mankind Divided and even the "Final Fantasy XV. But the rumors and news reports are silent when the "Final Fantasy 7" remake is coming. "Obviously, the answer is that they wanted to build up hype, because that's how things work in this day and age," Twinfinite said. "The internet has allowed fandoms and sub-fandoms to grow and expand rapidly like a colony of ants and connect people all around the world."

But there's also a drawback for the need to have immediate information as the delay in the announcement of "Final Fantasy 7" will surely annoy fans, who have been contenting themselves to read and hear about all the rumors surrounding the game.

One thing that got fans excited is the news about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake going more into the action-focused gameplay in the molds of "Dissidia Final Fantasy."

According to "FF7" producer Yoshinori Kitase, they haven't really gone into the full combat mode.

"In terms of the image of the battle system, that's where we're getting the feel from. It won't be as action-focused as Dissidia, of course, but the the visuals and how the gameplay feels in essence will be drawn from that Dissidia-esque style," he said.
