'Final Fantasy 7' Remake Release Date News: New Sony Ad Hints Game May Come Out in 2016
If recent reports and an ad released by Sony are to be believed, 'Final Fantasy 7' remake may be released sometime in 2016.
According to Christian Today, an advertisement released by Sony in the publication Edge Magazine shows an image entitled 'PlayStation 4 Games Calendar 2015/ 2016,' featuring a 'Coming Soon' section at the bottom. Viewers will be able to see the titles of a number of upcoming titles, including 'Persona 5,' 'Dreams,' and 'Final Fantasy 7' remake in the said section.
Till now, Sony is yet to make any comment on whether or not the advertisement in the said magazine is showing an accurate release date for 'Final Fantasy 7.' Nevertheless, it is possible that the ad is merely a human error or something that emerged out of communication collapsing somewhere along the line.
Nevertheless, what is official at the moment is that Sony is yet to make an official announcement when fans might actually be able obtain their copy of the 'Final Fantasy 7' remake.
Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that the combat system for the 'Final Fantasy 7' remake will incorporate some 'dramatic changes." This was revealed by the game's director Tetsuya Nomura, who stated that the changes that to be introduced to the game's combat system will be designed to give it a new feel. Gamespot report that at the same time, Nomura said that they would be cautious not to change things too much.
According to Nomura, although the team behind the 'Final Fantasy 7' remake wants to make modifications that will characterize the technology available these days, they still don't want to remove anything from what made the original title so popular and well-received.
Nomura further hinted that it is possible the 'Final Fantasy 7' remake will take some visual inspiration from the 'Final Fantasy 7' movie 'Advent Children.' He, however, clarified that the upcoming game's characters will not be exactly like the ones moviegoers have seen in the film.
