‘Final Fantasy 7’ PS4 Release Date News: Game Remake Comes to PS4 in December

'Final Fantasy 7' executive producer Shinji Hashimoto has confirmed that the upcoming title will not be just a re-mastering of the extensively played game, but it will be an entirely remade version for the PlayStation 4.

According to Latin Post, Hashimoto told IGN that the team entrusted with the job of developing the seventh game of the 'Final Fantasy' gaming franchise has been examining the original role-playing game released in 1977 as their main source material. He said that studying the original game will help the developers to identify the precise areas require changing or tweaking with a view to offer an improved gaming experience for the present day 'Final Fantasy 7' PlayStation 4 gamers.

The team has supposedly been "putting a lot of careful thought" with the aim of fulfilling the standards as well as expectations of the gaming world.

In accordance with Hashimoto's statements, it seems that internal discussions about the 'Final Fantasy' remake have been continuing for years. However, what actually barred the team from moving ahead with the plans before were the contradictory schedules of director Yoshinori Kitase and character designer Testuya Nomura. It is good news of the game's fans that finally the duo has been able to work out a solution. Hashimoto said, "Timing worked for this now."

At the same time, Hashimoto disclosed that the game is yet to be named, but it will be unveiled in December 2015.

The developers, Square Enix revealed the remade 'Final Fantasy 7' game for the first time at the recently held E3 2015 press conference. The news regarding an entirely remade version of the game, which has been very popular over the years, was received warmly by fans and investors alike.

Initially, fans were disappointed when it was earlier announced that 'Final Fantasy 7' will be coming to the PlayStation 4 as a simple port of the PC version.

Luckily enough, Sony has decided to change direction and now the game will be rebuilt from scratch to make it a more appropriate 'Final Fantasy' game for the modern gaming era.
