'Final Fantasy 15' Release Date Rumors: Game Set To Be Released On September 30
Although there's no confirmation yet from Square Enix, the latest news and rumors have pointed to a September release for "Final Fantasy 15."
Gematsu shared the latest rumor regarding the release date for "Final Fantasy 15."
"Gematsu has received word that Square Enix plans to launch Final Fantasy XV worldwide for PS4 and Xbox One on Friday, September 30," it said. "This information was corroborated by three independent sources who would have knowledge of the matter."
Accordingly, the announcement for the release date will be made at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on March 20.
Back in November, Yuji Kenichiro, lead game designer, confirmed the rumors and news reports on the gameplay for "Final Fantasy 15."
"There is a gameplay mechanic where you can debilitate enemies by destroying parts of their anatomy and it plays an important role in battle," he said. "It is possible to make these kinds of attacks against specific areas on gigantic monsters by either striking them directly using the warp ability or by positioning yourself by the enemy's vulnerable spots using parrying actions against their attacks." That's not exactly a direct answer but it definitely sounds intriguing."
"Final Fantasy 15" used to be known as "Final Fantasy Versus 13" before the change three years ago.
Director Tetsuya Nomura told Famitsu magazine, per Polygon, that the decision to change the name was arrived at as early as 2011.
