'Final Fantasy 15' News: Game Generates A Huge Revenue For Square Enix?
Square Enix is really lucky to have Final Fantasy since the franchise has given them a huge amount of money. Even while the upcoming installment to its saga, "Final Fantasy XV" isn't even out yet, reports claim that it has already given the developers of the game a huge success with all credit being due to its pre-selling phase.
According to GameSpot, the game was able to generate roughly around $502 million in revenue during the previous quarter alone. Their profit was around $87 million and it was all mostly through the PC and digital downloads division. Also, according to Cinema Blend, Square Enix's' core gaming division have made $368 million in revenue. The site also foresees that once the game comes out, it will generate more than $260 million more for the publisher. The game might generate $470 million in revenue only within a year. More or less, about 10 million might be sold world wide; ending up to an astonishing gross revenue of $730 million.
It would be its fifteenth main installment in the Final Fantasy series. The game shares a connection with Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy, which is a subseries of games linked by a common mythos which includes Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Type-0.
"Final Fantasy XV" has confirmed a release date of September 30 of this year. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4 and as well as the Xbox One.
