'Fifty Shades of Grey' New Book News: Series Installment Told from Christian Grey’s View Point Releases June 18

Following the stupendous success of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" book franchise, author E.L. James will present a new novel on the same subject later this month. However, the new book will narrate events from Christian Grey's point of view.

Latin Post reports that James announced on Instagram on Monday that she will soon be releasing a new book that will tell the well-known love story between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele from Christian' perspective. It is worth noting here that the original stories are told from Anastasia's point of view.

According to reports, the new book is titled "Grey" and it will be published by Vintage Books on Grey's birthday on June 18 in paperback as well as an eBook.

The report quotes James saying that she wrote the book owing to popular demand and dedicates it "to those readers who asked... and asked... and asked... and asked for this."

Variety reports that a press release issued by James recently reads, "Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past." The release added, "Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It's been a great pleasure to return to my happy place - writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage."

Following this announcement, Vintage Books publisher and James' editor Anne Messitte also released a statement saying, "'Fifty Shades of Grey' is a love story that has enthralled readers in a way that few books have. When Erika mentioned to me that she wanted to explore Christian's viewpoint and re-open the story, I was incredibly excited for her and for her readers. This book has all the compelling attributes of its predecessors, and I can't wait for 'Fifty Shades' fans to experience the work again from a perspective they have long desired."

USA Today reports that Paul Bogaards, the spokesman for James' publisher, has confirmed that the Vintage Books will have more than "a million copies in bookstores and other retail outlets across the country on day one."

Until now, the erotic drama trilogy - "Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed" - has sold over 125 million copies worldwide, while the movie adaptation of the first book has grossed over $569.7 million.
