'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie News: New Soundtrack Song Hypes Up Fans Before Release Date
'Fifty Shades of Grey', is set for release in theaters over Valentine's Day weekend next year, and features the beautiful Dakota Johnson as university student Anastasia Steele who falls in love with the attractive, yet tormented Christian Grey. The much-talked about film will make its international debut on February 11 at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Surprisingly, just two months before the movie hits theaters and less than a month after the teaser trailer was released, it is not the movie that is being talked about, but its soundtrack.
The Weeknd released a song from the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film soundtrack, and boy is it making waves! Despite the dark themes of the film, The Weeknd's song, "Earned It," is generally light and sweet. It takes listeners back to the era of slow waltzes in a sweet croon of love, although its unshakable mysterious vibe is fitting for the new movie.
"Cause, girl, you're perfect/ You're always worth it/ And you deserve this/ The way you work it/ 'Cause, girl, you earned it," the lyrics say. The song has a strangely different vibe when considered from Christian Grey's perspective. On that note, it is now available to buy on iTunes.
"Earned It" is not the only song attracting attention to the future box-office movie. Beyonce's "Haunted," which was used in the most recent movie trailer, has been stirring fans with its moody melody. Beyonce moves fans with her second hit of the trailers, an alternate version of the popular ballad "Crazy in Love."
Moviegoers can expect to see 'Fifty Shades of Grey' up on the big screen on February 13, 2015.
