'Fifty Shades of Darker' Cast News: Marcia Gay Harden to Return for '50 Shades' Sequel Movies
Marcia Gay Harden, age 55, says that she will be returning for the next two installments of Fifty Shades of Grey. The Oscar and Tony winning actress, plays Christian Grey's adoptive mother in the series, Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey.
Fifty Shades of Grey, the film based on the first book in the trilogy penned by E.L. James, made more than 166 million dollars at the box office, when it opened this year on Valentine's Day. It will be made available for DVD and BluRay on May 8th.
The story is about a young and gullible student, named Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson. Anastasia begins an affair with billionaire, Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), who introduces her to his world.
Fifty Shades Dark will be coming to theaters on February 10, 2017 and Fifty Shades Freed, the final movie in the series will open on February 9th, 2018.
Marcia Gay Harden, who was not familiar with the books before she was cast for her part says that Fifty Shades of Grey is a classic love story.
In an interview with the Star from Los Angeles, she said that she did not know what to expect in terms of the movie's success. "The books were so huge, it made sense the movie would follow," said Harden.
She also stated that she is excited to see the remainder of the story unfold in the next two movies.
