'FIFA 17' News, Trailer: Marco Reus As Cover; Tie-In Between FC Barcelona, PES 2017 Unveiled

In line with EA Sports' "FIFA 17," Borussa Dortmund football player Marco Reus was chosen as the game's new cover star. Also, a tie-in has materialized between FC Barcelona and PES 2017.

In a statement, as cited by Otago Daily Times, Reus said that he was honored to join a very distinguished team of footballers to appear on the "FIFA" cover. He added that he was humbled that the fans had chosen him and he would strive to make them proud with hs performance on the pitch.

Borussa Dortmund football player Reus is now hailed as the cover star of "FIFA 17," the publication has learned. As per the publication, the 27-year-old athlete topped following 3.1 million fans across the globe voted on who the title's cover star would be.

It is further revealed that along with Reus, other nominees to be this "FIFA 17's" cover athelete included Manchester United's Anthony Martial, Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, and Chelsea's Eden Hazard.

In other news, Konami revealed that FC Barcelona is set to be a premium partner to PES 2017, Games Radar has learned. As per the publication, the tie-up is set to remain for three years and this is assumed to impact the forthcoming game.

In as statement, as cited by Games Radar, Konami revealed that Team ID and Player ID systes would be used to ensure the PES side perfectly reflected the overall and individual playing styles of the Catalan side and its many stars.
