‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Spoilers: AMC Releases Episode 4 Synopsis, Survivors Turn Against Military [VIDEO]
While only three episodes of 'Fear the Walking Dead' have been aired so far, the zombie spin-off television drama on AMC is already halfway through its first season. Following the extremely chilling events in episode 3, it now seems like the zombies will be a little subjugated in the upcoming episode, as new threat begins to lie in wait in the region.
According to IB Times, 'Fear the Walking Dead' episode 3 ended when the family's trip to hideaway in the desert is suddenly cut short when the National Guard visits the locality, heavily armed, and occupies the region to assist with the cleaning of the latest zombie occurrence. While this would certainly be a happy ending to most horror movies, but as fans watching the show's companion series, 'The Walking Dead,' are aware that the military only has things under control for a very brief period prior to the world coming to a proper end.
While fans of either series have yet to see how precisely the United States military gets broken, it appears that their presence will not be the rescue that they wanted. The synopsis of 'Fear the Walking Dead' episode 4 states that instead this is the main issue of disputation for Madison (Kim Dickens), Travis (Cliff Curtis) as well as the remaining valiant heroes.
The synopsis released by AMC reads, "Madison and Travis see different sides of the National Guard's occupation in their neighborhood; the family tries to adapt to the new world."
As of now, it is not clear what exactly triggers the dissent between the survivors and the soldiers. However, the preview for next week's episode that played at the end of 'Fear the Walking Dead' episode 3 titled 'The Dog' suggests that the incongruity may possibly have something to do with Madison's drug addicted son, Nick (Frank Dillane).
Regardless of what actually causes the rift, apparently things will become dangerous for Madison. In the promo for episode 3, Madison can be seen walking up the streets of her neighborhood baring witness to a slew of residence that, most probably, the military had put down. However, considering the description of some of the bodies, it appears that all of them may possibly not have been walkers before they were shot on the head.
According to previous reports, the world of 'The Walking Dead' has a record of showing the military turning against citizens when the zombie apocalypse arrives. Irrespective of the quarantined hospital Rick (Andrew Lincoln) waking up in, the air force dropping bombs on Atlanta or occupying a small suburban cul-de-sac in Los Angeles - it seems that series creator Robert Kirkman does not want his audience to put too much faith in military law and order.
'Fear the Walking Dead' episode 4 titled 'Not Fade Away' premieres on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 9:00 p.m. EDT on AMC.
