'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 3 Release Date, Spoilers: Third Season Linked To 'The Walking Dead'
"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 came to a close just last week but fans are already looking forward to its new season. Recently, showrunner Dave Erickson talked about the next installment of the series.
In his interview with Den of Geek, Erickson revealed his plan to take everything he had learned from the first two seasons of the series as he creates the story for season 3. He said his aim is to reveal the story of each character and explore their relationships much deeper.
"I think the more we do with that the more jeopardy we are going to feel, the more danger we are going to feel as we put them through all these apocalyptic scenarios," he said.
Erickson also talked about the new location of the upcoming season. He said the new storyline will center on the border and will be more cityscape compared with the previous season. However, viewers will still get to see the desert where they last saw Ofelia.
"So there are a lot of things, I think there are just more potential stories to tell there and I think they mesh really nicely with a lot of the elements of the show," said Erickson.
The showrunner also revealed that Daniel Salazar, who was assumed to be dead in season 2, might return next season.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that season 3 will be linked to "The Walking Dead." Asked at the New York Comic Con whether Nick will be a whisperer in season 4, show creator Robert Kirkman said "no comment."
Fans speculate that the upcoming installment will reveal that Nick is actually a whisperer, and that the Colonia group could have journeyed to the place of "The Walking Dead's" Rick from Tijuana.
"Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 is expected to air sometime in 2017.
