'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 2 Episode 8: Season Finally Resumes On Dry Land In Mexico

After spending almost the entire first half of the season at sea, "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 finally resumes on dry land.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2B was filmed in Mexico, which offers a wide range of geographic settings, including a Pacific Ocean resort, a desert in Tijuana, as well as urban areas that resemble the show's former urban setting in Los Angeles.

According to reports, the final eight episodes of the series will feature a variety of environs in Mexico as the members of the extended family of Madison Clark and Travis Manawa part ways for the first time.

"Mexico offered so much to us. There's so much beautiful tradition; there's the landscape; there's the ocean, the cities, the sprawling, vast desert areas," said actress Kim Dickens in her interview with USA Today.

"Now, the characters are refugees in another country and that country offers all of its magic to the show," she added.

Showrunner Dave Erickson also revealed that as the series resumes, the family division will find Nick, Madison's son, wandering on his own in the Mexican desert until he stumbles upon a Tijuana survivor community with anarchic traditions. On the other hand, Madison, Alicia and Ofelia and Strand will take refuge in an oceanfront luxury hotel, while Travis will hit the road to stop his son Chris from turning towards the darkness.

The season 2B premiere episode will center on Nick, who meets pharmacist Alejandro and Luciana, both leaders of a survivor community, after going on a solo spiritual quest in the desert.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2B premieres on August 21 on AMC.
