'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 2 Episode 10 News: Is Alejandro's Immunity True?
"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, episode 9 hinted at the possibility of newcomer Alejandro's immunity. The idea has made fans wonder if it is also possible for the others to be immune to the infection.
In the episode, Luciana revealed to Nick Clark that Alejandro was able to survive a bite by an infected without turning into a walker. While it is possible that Luciana and Alejandro were just lying about his immunity so as to create a mythology that will secure them, it is also possible that they are telling the truth, and that there is a chance for others to be immune as well.
Speaking about Alejandro's bite and supposed immunity, showrunner Dave Erickson shared during his interview with Comicbook.com, "He already had this admiration, and his following, and people who gravitated towards him as a community leader. The story of the bite is something that has galvanized this community and really drawn them that much closer because they believe there's something, to say the least, something special about him. Yeah, there's a very specific story line that's going to play out and it has a lot to do with questions of faith, and questions of trust, and specifically Nick's relationship with his new father figure."
The showrunner also said that as for Luciana's confidence with regards to her claim, "it is a question of blind faith and devotion and trust on one's leaders and what they represent."
"That's something that Nick has to slowly wrap his brain around or not," he said. He also added that viewers will know if Alejandro's immunity is true or not, but it will not be answered anytime soon.
Meanwhile, the synopsis for episode 10 reads, "Travis struggles to connect with Chris while searching for shelter. Meanwhile, Alicia meets a lonely woman with a bloody past."
"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, episode 10 aired on AMC on September 4.
