'Fear The Walking Dead' Recap Spoilers: The Army Takes Nick Away Because Of His Drug Habit
Recently, on 'Fear the Walking Dead', many new developments have let to some interesting turns of events on the new AMC series. Chris, records changes the army has made and rumors of people striking out east in his daily video diary, then sees a light flashing from a window far from their safe zone.
Madison and Travis fight and Alicia reminds them the game has changed. Travis goes up to the roof but doesn't listen when Chris tries to tell him about the flashing light with whom he is communicating using a mirror and sunlight.
Madison finds Nick's painkillers unused. When she reminds him he refuses to take them and seems to be in a good mood despite previously being in massive pain.
An army officer announces that they are officially "infection free" for a six-mile radius. It is revealed that there are 12 safe zones, but other questions are ignored.
The officer asks Travis to convince his neighbor Doug to allow the army to clean sweep his house. They find the family terrified and Doug crying about the end of the world.
Meanwhile Alicia breaks into Susan's house and reads her suicide note and Chris finally gets through to Madison about the light.
Ofelia and a soldier become intimate, but when she asks about medicines for her mom, he becomes angry.
Madison and Travis also share a moment of intimacy that ends in angst. Madison reveals her distrust of the army but they are interrupted by Doug's wife banging on the car - Doug is missing.
The next morning Madison tries to communicate with the light while Travis searches for Doug. She finally sees the light just as Travis finds Doug's car in a field.
When Travis approaches an army sergeant about Doug's car, the sergeant tells him Doug was found crying in his car and was sent back to headquarters.
Travis tells the sergeant about the light, which the sergeant says is "impossible" because the army has swept houses all over L. A.
Eliza discovers that Dr. Exner took Hector. When they eventually "talk privately" about Hector's condition, Eliza admits she is not really a nurse.
Madison goes through the city and comes across the bodies of walkers. She nearly encounters the army, too. When she gets home, she confides to Daniel that some of the bodies didn't even look infected. Daniel warns Madison to keep her son close and help Ofelia if he and Griselda don't return.
Madison goes for a walk and finally catches Nick rummaging through Hector's house for drugs. She finally snaps at him.
The army comes to the Clark house to take Griselda and Nick, after-which Dr. Exner convinces Eliza to leave Chris and work with her at the hospital.
Alicia reads Susan's suicide note, in which Susan shares that what she saw that day was prophesied, not "unnatural", and Travis hears gunfire at the window from which the flashing light was emitting.
