'Fear The Walking Dead' Premiere Spoilers: New Comic-Con Trailer Shows LA In Trouble

'Fear the Walking Dead' the spinoff and companion series to the hit AMC zombie television drama, 'The Walking Dead' will be making its debut on Sunday, August 23 at 9:00 pm.

The show's premiere date was announced during the show's San Diego Comic Con panel on Friday, July 10th.

The show will premiere with a special ninety minute episode, just like its predecessor, according to a report from Deadline.

A special episode of 'Talking Dead' will air before the premiere of the show.

The first season of 'Fear the Walking Dead' will feature six episodes, and they will air in the weeks leading up to the premiere of the sixth season of 'The Walking Dead' which will be coming back to AMC on October 11.

AMC Global channels across the world will debut 'Fear the Walking Dead' at the same time, as its premiere in the United States. International AMC networks will then air the pilot for the show again during primetime in the local time zones.

In the United States, the early premiere date for the show will allow for it to air for three weeks before having to compete with the NFL, which regular season shows that air on Sunday have to do.

In fact, the first 'Sunday Night Football' game is set to air on NBC for September 13, according to a report from Variety.

"Robert Kirkman, Dave Erickson and the fantastic writers, producers, cast and crew responsible for bringing 'Fear the Walking Dead' to life have been hard at work creating an entirely distinct and compelling new series," said Charlie Collier, AMC and Sundance TV president in a statement to E! News.
