'Fear The Walking Dead' News: New Official Trailer Released at Comic-Con [VIDEO]
The official trailer for the highly anticipated 'Walking Dead' spin-off show has finally been released at Comic-Con, giving an in depth look at what viewers can expect.
Up until now we've only received small sneak peeks and promo photos, but this now puts a huge emphasis on what the showrunners were talking about as to how this will be a totally different show than 'The Walking Dead.'
The characters, scenery, and overall tone of the show feels like something completely original. 'Fear the Walking Dead' will take viewers to the very initial stages of the outbreak to give fans a different outlook on how it came to be.
Series creator Robert Kirkman sums up the series for EW:
"Fear the Walking Dead takes us back to the earlier, more dangerous, more terrifying days of The Walking Dead. A time when danger was lurking around every corner and the thing mostly likely to get you killed was your own ignorance of the rapidly changing world around you. The stakes are going to be higher and the ride more intense. We're going to show people all the insanity of civilization crumbling that Rick Grimes slept through. Buckle up."
Here's the first episode synopsis:
"The spinoff takes place during the same zombie apocalypse depicted on The Walking Dead but in a different location. It revolves around Sean Cabrera (Curtis), a divorced teacher and Nancy Tompkins (Dickens), a female guidance councilor. Dillane plays the Nancy's son Nick, who has battled a drug problem. Debnam Carey plays the Nancy's ambitious daughter Ashley."
The first season will consists of six episodes and release later this summer.
