'Fast & Furious 8' Release Date News: Vin Diesel Drops Next Film's Debut Date

The recent CinemaCon held in Las Vegas last Thursday, April 23 gave movie fans a lot to talk about including Universal Pictures' biggest revelation yet announcing that the hit movie franchise 'Fast & Furious' has an upcoming 8th sequel.

After 'Furious 7' hit theaters garnering $1 Billion worldwide, it is not so impossible for the franchise to think about making another one as it is indeed part of everyone's routine now to watch a 'Fast & Furious' film every year.

Now the 8th sequel is reportedly confirmed to premiere on April 14, 2017. A long time from today but it will surely be more explosive than the recent one as fans would want to see what's next after the late Paul Walker's death.

Meanwhile, Walker's closest friend and co-star Vin Diesel shares the same enthusiasm to have an 8th film for the franchise saying, "I swear to you and to my brother upstairs [Walker], we are going to make the best movie you've ever seen," Diesel said during Universal's presentation.

Of course the film series has a lot to think about but fans are already anxious as to who will be retained in the upcoming film from their favorites including Diesel, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Jordana Brewster and Tyrese Gibson.

But while everyone waits for a series of announcements and trailers, the film producers and officials would have to settle everything before they release it to the public.

Ludacris even talked the recent discussions they've been having regarding the 8th sequel. "There have been talks about a sequel but nothing has been confirmed in terms of Furious 8, but I really feel like we need to let the fans decide whether there's going to be a Furious 8 and we'll work it from there," he revealed while talking to E! News adding, "Right now we kind of need a moment of silence to reflect on this individual who started the franchise. So rest in peace, Paul Walker."
