'Fast and Furious 8' News, Release Date: Michelle Rodriguez's Fast Driving Skills Revealed, Jealous Of Late Paul Walker’s Death?
Along with her excellent driving skills for F. Gary Gray's upcoming action car racing film "Fast and Furious 8," also known as "Fast 8," Michelle Rodriguez admitted that she was jealous of Paul Walker's death. Also, it has been revealed that filming is heading to Ohio while Vin Diesel is set to work along with Lucas Black and Justin Bieber.
Rodriguez plays Letty in the film and she was exposed early to the realm of fast cars prior to "Fast 8," according to Vine Report. As per the publication, the actress traversed the closed Nevada highway driving the Jaguar F-TYPE SVR at 201mph. The publication added that while the actress traveled with the said speed, she was together with a professional to ensure her safety during the production run.
The actress also talked about her co-star Walker's death in the documentary "The Reality of Truth." In a statement, she said that when she had lost Walker, she had gone through about a year of just being like an animal, adding that she thought about what she could do physically to get her mind off of existentialism and get her mind off how transient life was and how people just came and vanish at any moment.
According to Rodriguez, she had done everything she could possibly do to hide from herself, adding that her Ayahuasca trip had made her sad that Walker had left her there. For the actress, it had not been sadness that he was gone, but more of a jealousy that he was there first.
"Fast 8" has started its production and the next stop is in Cleveland, Ohio, according to a Cleveland website. As per the publication, the film's shooting in Cleveland has been on the down low, which was revealed at a panel ahead of the Cleveland International Film Festival. It was also revealed that the film is in need of local crew members and vendors for the said shoot.
In other news, Black is set to take over Paul Walker's role as Dominic Toretto's racing buddy, as per Movie News Guide. The actor had a cameo in James Wan's "Furious 7" and he is going to play a new racer in Gray's "Fast 8." In addition, Bieber is set to play the role of Black's younger brother in the film. With regard Walker's brothers Cody Walker and Caleb Walker, it is revealed that both will not be joining the film's cast.
Gray's "Fast 8" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Apr. 14, 2017.
