'Fast And Furious 8' Cast, Release Date: Paul Walker's Character, Brian O'Conner Returns? Vin Diesel Teases Trilogy
"Fast and Furious" lead star Paul Walker suddenly left us crying when he died from an accident. For that, "Furious 7" went all bittersweet after his character, Brian O'Conner made a dramatic exit on the movie franchise. Despite that, many are still wondering if he would appear on the next installment, "Fast and Furious 8."
According to the latest report, his character will be featured in the much awaited car-racing film. We all know that Brian O'Conner did not die on the film but departed from his best friend Dominic Toretto, as played by Vin Diesel, instead.
The character will return as NBC Universe Vice Chairman, Ron Meyer reportedly revealed that his role in the franchise is not done and over with yet, according to Yibada. Meyer allegedly added that Paul Walker's younger brother, Cody, will take his place and act as O'Conner.
Aside from that, the website also claimed that Hollywood actress, Charlize Theron is confirmed to join the "Fast and Furious" cast as new villain. Theron is yet to confirm the news by herself soon.
More than the characters, one of the lead stars, Vin Diesel, reportedly stated that a trilogy will be coming soon. As per Digital Spy report, "Fast and Furious 8" starts the trilogy, and 2 more installments await the whole team.
The rumor mill started when the actor dropped a hint via Instagram by posting the caption "2 Decades, 10 Films, 1 Saga." It is rumored that the release dates for the films are slated on April 14, 2017, April 19, 2019 and April 2, 2021, respectively.
"Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision... they have been like family... I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga." Diesel said.
