'Fast and Furious 8' Cast, Release Date, News, Rumors: Who Is Going To Be Dom's New Partner?
Avid fans of "Fast and Furious" franchise have to wait for just around a little over a year before the next installation of the film finally hits the big screen.
Recently, "Fast and Furious 8" has officially confirmed that new faces are going to join the cast of the film, including Charlize Theron and Scott Eastwood. While the role that 40-year-old actress Charlize Theron will play in the movie has not been disclosed yet, some speculate that she will play the role of a villain.
On his Instagram account, actor Vin Diesel welcomed the actress to the "Fast and Furious 8" family, and said that Theron will be perfect for the franchise.
"When MTV asked her how she felt about coming in and playing the villain, her response was classic and the reason why I love that woman, she said, 'I'm coming to mess that s**t up!'" he said.
As for the participation of Scott Eastwood, there are rumors going around that he will play the role of the late Paul Walker's brother. His character will be introduced to Dom and the rest of the gang in the upcoming installment, and will be the one to assign tasks to the team. Given those details, fans speculate that he may become the new second-in-command of Dom, following the closure given to Paul Walker's role in "Fast and Furious 7."
However, there are also claims that Sean Boswell will be the one to take the place of Walker as Dom's new partner, since he had already signed a three-movie deal with the "Fast and Furious" franchise even before the death of Paul Walker.
"Fast and Furious 8" hits theaters on April 14, 2017.
