Fast and Furious 7's Kurt Russell Remembers Paul Walker as a 'Terrific Guy'
Kurt Russell remembers his Fast & Furious 7 co-star Paul Walker as "A terrific guy," despite only briefly working together prior to the movie's production suspension following the actor's death on Nov. 30. However in that short span, he quickly realized what kind of person the late Walker truly was.
"I just met him on the [movie] and I was just very struck by how similar our lives are and how we looked at life. All the things he did outside of acting that he really enjoyed were similar to the things that I like to do. He was a h*** of a good guy," said Russell to Entertainment Weekly.
Russell is curious to see how the suspended Fast 7 production team will solve the essential alterations due to Walker's passing.
"At the time, we were talking about [my character] possibly going into a future episode as a sort of father-figure to Vin and Paul's character - or possibly die in Fast and Furious 7. The character was created to go either way, and it will be interesting to see what they do now, if there's any change in that. I don't know if there will be. But obviously, they're working hard on doing what they have to do to try to make that thing work. I think they're going to gear up again in February or March, so we'll see." said Russell.
Vin Diesel and Walker had such great chemistry together on and off camera that Diesel will be aiding with the plot that will explain the departure of his late co-star and friend's character from the vastly popular Fast and Furious franchise.
"We always took pride in trying to make each one better than the last..." wrote Diesel on his Facebook page, along with a vintage photo of the duo as Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner.
"P.s. Tomorrow we meet with the studio, regarding the future of the Fast saga...and the completion of Seven," wrote Diesel via Facebook on January 9.
"Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of Fast & Furious 7, which will be released by Universal Pictures on April 10, 2015," said Universal Studious in a statement according to Eonline. "James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series, and Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel return as producers."
The Fast and the Furious 7 film will appear in theaters on April 10th 2015, as revealed previously by Diesel himself.
"The last scene we filmed together. There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared ... in the film we were now completing... the magic captured ... and, in just how far we've come...Fast and Furious 7 will be released...April 10th 2015! P.s. He'd want you to know first," wrote Diese via Facebook on December 22 after the film was delayed following Walker's death.
