'Fast and Furious 7' Release Date, Latest News: New Trailer Focuses on Jason Statham
The 'Fast and Furious 7' action-packed trailer hit the Internet this week, just days after their Super Bowl spot was released.
The trailer reveals a lot more footage that fans haven't seen yet, and it would seem the only thing the franchise is concerned with is outdoing whatever its predecessor has. That means better faster cars, bigger explosions, more fight scenes, etc.
The trailer also featured more footage on actor Jason Statham and his role in this movie. He'll play the main villain in 'Fast and Furious 7'.
"Beyond just the pulse-raising action, this trailer also serves the duties of a second feature-length trailer, as it actually gives us a bit of background regarding who Jason Statham's character is and what he can do. Apparently his training comes from his time as an assassin with special forces - but this apparently wasn't a great idea, as Dwayne Johnson's Luke Hobbs has no problems literally calling him a monster. We see him operate with guns, fists and explosives during the course of this trailer, and he looks incredibly lethal with all of them," writes Cinema Blend.
The important fight scene between Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will be a widely anticipated and a big selling point for the movie.
The film plans to pick up right after the events of the previous film and will center on Statham's character, Deckard Shaw on his vendetta to avenge his brother.
'Fast and Furious 7' will feature all of the movie's main characters such as, wayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Elsa Pataky, Lucas Black and Michelle Rodriguez, along with newcomers, Kurt Russell, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Iggy Azalea, and Ronda Rousey. The late Paul Walker will also reprise his role for the scenes he was able to accomplish.
The movie plans to hit theaters in a major way on April 3rd.
