‘Fargo’ Season 3 Spoilers, Cast: Story To Feature Present Timeline, Season 1, Season 2 Characters?
"Fargo" season 3 is set to return to the present, according to recent spoilers.
According to TV Line, "Fargo" season 3 will be set "a couple years" following season 1, which took place in 2006. With the given timeline, it is assumed that the forthcoming season will possible bring back the characters in season 1. This implies that those who survived could be seen again in "Fargo" season 3. However, the information is yet to be confirmed.
Season 3 may take place in 2008 or 2009, according to Hidden Remote. This is derived from the fact that season 1 took place in 2006 while season 2 went back to 1979. While the speculated timeline may not appear to be so distant, the characters from the upper Midwest are assumed to be coping with the economic impact of the Great Recession or use modern technology like smartphones.
In line with the returning characters from "Fargo" season 1, it is assumed that "Fargo" season 3 will see the comeback of Deputy Molly Solverson (Allison Tolman) and Officer Gus Grimly (Colin Hanks). In the previous season, Molly and Gus got married, with the former becoming a step-mother to Gus' daughter Greta (Joey King).
While some characters from season 1 are expected to return, it is also feasible that "Fargo" season 3 gets the season 2 characters, including Charlie Gerhardt (Allan Dobrescu), who may be seen in his 50s in the 21st century, as well as Mike Milligan (Bokeem Woodbine), who may return as an elderly with his Nixon impression.
According to showrunner Noah Hawley, season 1 is connected to the movie while season 2 is connected to season 1. He added that part of the fun was figuring that connection, thus, it is assumed that there would be things that connect to something in the story.
"Fargo" airs on Mondays on the FX Network.
