'Fantastic Four' Movie Trailer News: New Teaser Snaps Fox's In-House Record Views [VIDEO]

Fans have finally received their long awaited first look at the "Fantastic Four" movie reboot trailer by 20th Century Fox. On that note, it seems that the new trailer has broken Fox's in-house record for most viewed trailer.

However, what's left to be determined is if the movie will do as well in the box office as it has done on its YouTube page. As of this writing, the video (embedded below) sits at a total 14,627,063 views.

Despite the high viewership of the trailer, the movie has been under heavy speculation, especially after the reports of the studio demanding re-shoots and calling it "a mess."

Director Josh Trank took a stab at a complete retelling for the characters and it's still up in the air if it will actually work.

The trailer features all the main characters but only give viewers a quick brief look at only some of the iconic powers. It makes sense on why the first trailer may hold off on revealing everything the characters can do but instead focus on the different origin story Trank has reinstated.

"If it wasn't clear from rumors and vague descriptions of the plot of this take on The Fantastic Four, the trailer confirms that the movie will be following the origin story of the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics, where Reed Richards is a young genius who helps discover and develop teleportation technology. As a result, instead of the original Fantastic Four origin of the characters flying to the moon and getting hit by a cosmic rays which grand them powers, they instead teleport to another dimension where they are mutated," writes Screen Rant.

The movie is constantly compared to the film "Chronicle," a movie attributed to Trank's initial success.

20th Century Fox released this synopsis on the film:

"FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy."

The movie will star Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, and Toby Kebbell.
