‘Fantastic Four’ 2015 Release Date, Plot News: Star Toby Kebbell Reveals the Origin of New Dr. Doom in Upcoming Reboot Film

After Marvel's announcement about a reboot of the movie 'Fantastic Four', fans were left speculating how the film would differ from the previous versions, aside from having different actors play the iconic roles.

It was previously revealed that actor Michael B. Jordan will play the role of Johnny Storm, who was described as Caucasian in the comics, but will be showcased with a change in ethnicity in the new film.

Beyond that, it was announced that 'Dawn of the Planet Apes' actor Toby Kebbell will now be playing the main antagonist in the movie, Doctor Doom.

In an interview with Collider during the DVD/Blu-ray release of 'Dawn of the Planet Apes', Kebbel was asked about his role in the upcoming reboot.

When asked about what it felt like to play Doctor Doom, Kebbel said he was excited to watch the movie when its finished, and has worked hard on mastering his character's voice.

Kebbell added that while watching the cartoon version of the story, he has often wondered where Doctor Doom came from. "There's a mild change and I'll tell you because of our history," he said.

The actor shared that in the new 'Fantastic Four' movie, Doctor Doom's real name is Victor Domashev and not Victor Von Doom. The actor then joked that he will surely be sent to jail for sharing the confidential piece of information with the press.

In the reboot, Vomashev was a "very anti-social computer programmer" known in blogging sites as "Doom," which hinted that the movie's villain was a scientifically inclined person who had a greater-than-average intelligence.

When Collider asked him how his character fit into the entire movie, Kebbell answered that it "was cool" and it felt nice to "finally come to terms with what was given by this incident."

'Fantastic Four' is expected to be released worldwide on June 19, 2015.
