'Fantastic Beasts' Cast News: Ezra Miller Rumored for Role in Spin-Off Film
It appears as if actor Ezra Miller has his hands in further Warner Bros. franchises with the reveal of his latest potential role.
Miller, already announced to portray Barry Allen or The Flash in DC's cinematic universe, has been rumored to be in negotiations for the role of Kredan in the Harry Potter spin-off 'Fantastic Beasts.'
"In the story, Kredan is a person with magical powers who encounters magizoologist Newt Scamander (Redmayne) when he stops in New York City on his travels to find and document magical creatures," writes Variety.
Due to the early dealings, sources claim to not be sure how far along Miller is in negotiations, however it is said that the actor has always been a favorite for the role.
"Set in New York roughly seven decades before Harry Potter's saga starts, "Fantastic Beasts" is based on the Hogwarts textbook of the same name and follows the adventures of its author, Newt Scamander. Scamander is described as a "magiczoologist," which in the "Harry Potter" realm is a person who studies magical creatures. Besides Scamander, there are four other main roles - two American girls and two American boys - that the studio is looking to cast," writes Variety.
The acceptance of the role might permit Miller to fully commit to two major franchises, and while 'Fantastic Beasts' hasn't confirmed any sequels, one can't expect whats to happen to popular movie franchises.
'Fantastic Beast' is set to premiere in November 18, 2016, while 'The Flash' solo project isn't expected until 2018.
