‘Fallout 4’ PC System Requirements, Release Date News: Will You Be Able to Run ‘Fallout 4’?
The wait is finally drawing to a close as developer Bethesda is getting ready to launch the fourth installment in the 'Fallout' franchise, 'Fallout 4'. While many gamers are bound to pick up a copy for their PS4 or Xbox One systems, some users are going to get it on the PC.
For those that may not know 'Fallout 4' is slated for a release date on November 10, 2015, which means it's practically one month away from its debut. While the title is surely going to be a hit, some gamers may not be able to run it on the specs of their PCs and might have to upgrade or get it for console.
On that note, Bethesda went ahead and laid out the minimum and recommended system requirements to run 'Fallout 4'
According to the official Bethesda blog post, the min/req specs are listed below:
Minimum
- Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
- Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
- 8 GB RAM
- 30 GB free HDD space
- NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent
Recommended
- Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
- Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
- 8 GB RAM
- 30 GB free HDD space
- NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent
Beyond that, the game will require 28-35 GB depending on territory and languages supported. The game is supported in various languages which are all listed on the official blog post, which can be found here.
Additionally, gamers will need to have a Steam account in order to play that game which should not alarm too many gamers. Steam accounts are free and have been a popular way to purchase, download, and manage massive libraries of games that gamers have nowadays.
On that note, consumers who pre-order the game will receive a bonus, however, this only applies to physical copies of the game. Although, many digital retailers are bound to have their own pre-order bonuses, but that must be checked with them.
According to the post, "Everyone who pre-orders a physical copy of the regular or Pip-Boy Edition of the game will receive a Perk Poster with your copy of the game. Digital pre-order bonuses vary by retailer, check with your retailer for more info."
