'Fallout 4' News: Three DLC Packs In Three Months; Bethesda To Launch VR Mode Next Year

Bethesda dropped some good news during the E3 2016 as the developer announced the release of three DLC packs in the next three months.

The next DLC, titled "Contraptions," will be released as early as next week. Just like the name suggests, the downloadable content will provide players with all types of equipment and tools so they can build elevators, weapon racks and conveyor belts.

The next DLC will be launched in July, which is titled "Vault-Tec Workshop." With the add-on, players can construct vaults from the settlement building.

"Next, an add-on called Nuka World will launch in August," said Polygon in its "Fallout 4" news. "Bethesda didn't offer any specifics, but players discovered that name within the game's files earlier this year. Nuka World appeared to be a theme park in the trailer that the studio showed."

In other news, the VR version of "Fallout 4" for HTC Vive will reportedly be released next year, according to CNET. The announcement was made by Pete Hines, Bethesda vice president for PR, during the E3 2016 press event.

Ars Technica reported the news about Bethesda opening an entirely new division dedicated to making the "Fallout 4" available for VR, which speaks of the seriousness of the company to make this happen.

"Quite how Fallout 4 will work in VR is a mystery-especially since the demo version at the presser's after-party offered little more than a virtual peek at the Red Rocket scene," it said. "So we await answers about a game that was never designed for VR in the first place."
