'Fallout 4' DLC: 'Far Harbor' News: PS4 Struggling To Get 30 Fps With DLC?
We have some visual performance updates about the "Fallout 4: Far Harbor" DLC. According to some sites, the DLC would give the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One a hard time.
According to Game Rant, "Fallout" should be running smoothly and consistently at 30 frames per second. However, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will experience some fluctuation in some parts and will drop to 20 frames per second. This might be an Achilles' heel for Sony since the PlayStation 4's version might also fluctuate down to 15 frames per second which is something noticeable to the average gamer's eye.
Before, it was believed that "Fallout 4" will be running at it's best when played on the PlayStation 4 but the tides have changed. Now, Xbox One is taking the lead since it has a more consistent frame rate compared to its arch nemesis.
Also, according to Euro Gamer, Bethesda promises to produce a patch to fix the problem for the PlayStation 4. There may be a lot of PlayStation 4 gamers out there who are not enjoying the DLC at all since most of the time, the game will be on 20 frames per second rather than 30. The developers of the game must do something real quick before its too late.
The Far Harbor DLC is the third expansion for "Fallout 4." The plot of the DLC is set on the island of Far Harbor, which is off the coast of Maine.
The game was released on May 19th, 2016 and it is available on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
